Ards Cycling Club

Ards Cycling Cl;ub was founded in 1944. Our club has a rich history with many riders having achieved national and international success. We presently have about 80 members. Our club aims to provide a friendly environment for cycle racing at club and open competition level. We also promote leisure cycling and cater for everyone from age 11 up. We meet at Ards Fire Station on Sunday mornings 9am for the club training run. An indication of suitability for this run is that a rider could manage at least 15 mph at a steady pace. The length of the run can be decided by the rider and built up as one becomes more fit. Our weekly club races are at various venues in the Ards and North Down area on Tuesday nights at 7pm from April to mid September. We have a lot of various distance time trial events included in our calendar, this means you are riding against yourself and aiming to improve your own time. It usually isn’t long before you find a buddy at equal level whom you want to beat! We also have a good social calendar of events including a touring weekend in the Autumn time. You can follow our riders performances at open and club level in

We also have a website www.ardscyclingclub.co.uk
