Ards Youth are a junior football club based in Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland. The club provide soccer coaching for boys and girls from the ages of 6 up to 15 years. We presently have 15 football teams representing the club in the Lisburn League, Ards Borough Youth Development League, South Belfast Youth League and the George Best Castlereagh League. We now have over 400 members and the numbers continue to grow each season.

Success on the pitch has been gained at all levels in leagues and cups and even abroad. In 2000, the U13s brought home the “Blackpool Cup” and in 2001 the U11s, U13s and U14s all went to Holland and all three came home “Champions”, a remarkable achievement. Currently 5 teams compete at all age levels in the Lisburn Invitational League, the toughest league in Northern Ireland. An Under 9 team competes in the George Best Castlereagh League, five teams will compete in the Ards Borough Youth Development League and our girls now have three teams; Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16.

In 2001 the club gained Junior Clubmark status , a quality standard awarded by the Sports Council for Northern Ireland. Currently only a handful of clubs in Northern Ireland hold this award, the latest achievement from a forward looking club always striving to improve facilities for its 450+ members.

In June 2005 an agreement was reached to become the youth section of Ards FC to raise the profile once more and provide a step into the Irish League for our players.
