Recent Grant Awards

Ards Rangers Junior Football Club received a grant from Ards Borough Sports Development 

Committee to enable the team to travel to a competition in Crewe. They received their 

award from Alderman Kieran McCarthy, Chairman of the Committee. 

Also in the presentation party were Lesley Busby, Noel Johnstone and Newenham de Cogan.
 

Ards Youth Coaches receive a grant cheque  from Ards Borough Sports Development Committee 

Chairman Alderman Kieran McCarthy MLA to obtain their IFA level 1 Coaching Disabled Footballers Award.

Rhys McClenaghan of Salto Gymnastics Club received a grant from Ards Borough Sports 

Development Committee towards his travelling expenses to the Celtic Cup in Scotland.Alderman

Leslie Busby MBE vice Chairman of Ards Borough Council Sports Development Committee presents a

£100 cheque to young ice skater Clare McIntyre from Newtownards. The money will be used to help 

towards travelling expenses while travelling to Dundalk to be coached by American skater Adam Kaplan.

Also included are Rab Dunn Honorary Secretary and Emma Hingston Sports Development Officer with

Ards Borough Council.
